Recently, at the closing of the "China-Malaysia Youth for a Shared Future" Study Camp, ZISU signedan agreement with theMalaysia-China Culture and Tourism Promotion Association and Malaysian Tea Associationtolaunch the "China-Malaysia International ResearchCenterfor Tea Culture". Li Zhengxian, Deputy Speaker of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly of Malaysia,attendedthe signingceremony.

AsaninitiativebyZISU to deepen international cooperation and support Hangzhou's urban internationalization, the centertook shapeinthe 2024 "China-Malaysia Youth for a Shared Future Study Camp" project.So far, ithas hosted 5 diverse lectures/seminars on tea-related topics and drawn scholars from Malaysian universities like the University of Malaya. It aims to become a China-Malaysia tea industry-academia hub, integrating resources, organizing research events and exchanges, building cross-field networks, and supporting academic research, youth exchanges, cultural communication and industrial development.
The China-Malaysia youth exchange program has been held for three consecutive years. Under the guidance of Peking University, this year's program has achieved significant breakthroughs. The reports titled“AStudy on Melaka World Heritage Culture”completed by 11 ZISU participants will be included asexemplarycases in the teaching resource libraries of both universities.“Thepractical plan ofdigital dissemination of tea culture proposed by ZISU participants has been incorporated into the 2026 work plan of the Malaysian Tea Association," said Chen Qifu,president of the Association.
This signing marks a new stage in the cooperation between the two sides in the field of tea culture, moving fromindividualprojectstosystematicand platform-based development.
